Throughout these classes you learn how to visual, hear, smell and feel through meditation, you will learn how to relax the mind and body to   de-stress, take a break, lower anxiety, feel healthier, more peaceful, have clarity, build confidence. Strengthen healthy attitudes to life and yourself. The beauty about all the techniques you will learn here is they can be applied to most situations in life for your benefit.

The meditations are not for relaxation purposes as you are encouraged to not only contemplate a deeper knowing of self, but to passionately utilize the power of loving energy in a meditative state of mind. GUIDED MEDITATIONS: USING VISION, FEELING, SENSE OF SMELL & HEARING

First question

WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO ACHIEVE ?

 

There is a view the benefits of meditation can only be achieved through many hours, days or weeks sometimes years of practice. This is no doubt true of some practices not all, as with most things there are variations and  Meditation is no exception. Having said that there are techniques which offer better results with continued use and some can make a complete difference immediately. It’s important to consider ourselves in the equation as well, depending on how much we want something also determines how quickly we allow  ourselves to feel the difference.

 

When I decide to paint a painting, I obtain my images or reference material, paper and pastels. I find a place to set up with good light etc. Then I start to create the picture, which means giving my undivided attention to the task at hand. Sometimes I need to recreate an area other times the images just flow and I feel part of the painting. It’s  being relaxed, enjoying and being focused, if I loose my focus (start thinking about what to cook for dinner or better still who will be cooking dinner for me) I take a breath bring myself back to the painting and keep going.

 

Meditation -  the art of the mind is the same, it has to be because it’s all in the mind. If you can remember what you had for breakfast, see your car sitting in the driveway or describe a place to someone then you can visualise. You know you feel and I bet if you remember well enough a place you loved being at like a beach (sea salt) or the country (pine/eucalyptus) you will be able to recall the smells or aroma. You are probably doing it right now as you read, what about the recalling the rubbish bin it’s real too. Let that one go, know you can see, you can smell and you can create, it’s the art of the mind.

 

By taking images, feelings and smells that are familiar  you can set a scene to bring into play particular feelings, to build them and reinforce them within. Using imagery not to recall a situation from the past but certainly past knowledge of a positive nature eg. Confidence, self empowerment, relaxation, balance and so on, the knowledge comes into play through the visually guided journey of the meditation. In a relaxed state of mind and body,  the knowledge which is yours can be recalled and recreated for your benefit.

 

If I create an image of the ocean in my mind, stand on the beach look out watching the waves roll in and up the sand, seeing the power of the waves therefore feeling it. By breathing in that powerful feeling of confidence  the ocean    represents and allowing it to remain within offers me an opportunity, to use those feelings throughout my day and to connect with them at any time with a simply recall of association. There is more to each of us, an image can stimulates feelings, we make the choice of what, when and how.

Taking a break when everything around you is chaotic is a good knack or skill to have, sometimes our minds are so cluttered with all we are involved with, time out is necessary. Meditation–an art of the mind can help here too.

So the question remains “What do you want to achieve”?

Being a parent can be exhausting and that’s when they get you.

Are there levels of stress which seem to take over?

Is relaxation something which eludes you?

Are you in need of some regular time out?

Would you like learn more about you?

Do you want to feel differently at certain times?

Are you approaching exams and are nervous?

Studying can be stressful

Is the job you have very demanding and stressful?

There are so many areas in which meditation can assist, once learnt the techniques can be applied and varied to suit your needs.

Techniques used in relaxation, stress release, bringing the pressure down

Learning a new technique or exercise or are we?

The majority of techniques are instinctive behaviour which have been elaborated, extended or expanded upon. eg. in a moment of stress or high pressure we instinctively take a deep breath to release it. We often discard this action when it doesn't seem to work straight away, it would if we kept taking the deep breaths and with regular practice it would work quite quickly. We create  the experience of a relaxed state through the regular use of a technique and go there at those times of stress or pressure automatically, no thinking about it, it's just a couple breaths away, it is now part of you.

We know more than we think, when we think we don't know!  (Think about it)
